About Us

Established in 1973, Shalom Kosher, is a full service supermarket, located in Silver Spring, Maryland, in the Kemp Mill Shopping Center.

We offer farm fresh produce delivered daily, a full meat department with custom cuts and aged meats, gourmet prepared foods, a pareve (non-dairy) bakery, an extensive wine department, made to order sushi and a full line of everyday groceries. Additionally, we make platters for all occasions available for pick up or delivery.

FAQ’s

Is there an order minimum? Yes, a $75 minimum order, not including processing and handling fee.

Are all items on the site Kosher? Yes

Is there a delivery/handling fee? Yes, a delivery/handling applies depending on your location. We will NOT be offering curbside pickup.

The delivery and handling fees are combined and listed below for each area. If you live outside these zones please call and inquire.

Rockville/Potomac $25.00

What forms of payment do you take? All major credit cards are accepted.

How long is the delivery window? Due to the amount of orders we will be not be having delivery windows. We will start delivering daily at 7:30am and will work from the furthest locations from Silver Spring than work our way back.

How will my order come packed? In boxes.

Can items be saved for later? If you create an account you will have an option in your cart to “Save for Later” under each item. When you sign back in, you can access these items.

Can I have wine delivered? Yes, but only to Montgomery County, MD and this off premises delivery pdf needs to be filled out and sent back.

What is the lead time for orders?

The days below are the earliest dates you can get your order if placed at the appropriate time. You have the option to select a later date as well.

Delivery Sunday, Order by Thursday 8pm

Delivery Monday, Order by Friday 8pm

Delivery Tuesday, Order by Saturday 10pm

Delivery Wednesday, Order by Monday 8pm

Delivery Thursday, Order by Tuesday 8pm

Delivery Friday, Order by Wednesday 8pm

What if the item is out of stock? If a similar item is available we will substitute for it unless told otherwise in the “notes” section when you check out.

I am missing orders from my order? The order you place online is NOT your final invoice. We will pick the items we have available and will ring it up at the register. The total from the register receipt is your final invoice. The register receipt should match the items delivered.

When is my credit card charged? Usually the day before delivery when we run the order through the register.

The total order is more than my order confirmation? Produce items change daily based on the market. Meat items are only estimates online and the exact amount will be rung up at the register during checkout.

I do not see the items I want to order? The items online are the only items that are available to order. You can email us about items to add to the website for the future. No items can purchased by writing it in the “notes” section.

What is I want to add or subtract from my order? When you submit the order it is final.

Where will the delivery person put my order? The driver will NOT come into your home. They will drop the order in front of your door.

I do not see the delivery date I want available? Delivery date will be unavailable once the max amount of orders for that day have been reached.
